On Finding Clarity. Guidance, and Purpose.
I sit. I sit and listen within for my own wisdom... and then act. That's my starting place these days with any goal or budding idea.
This takes practice.
I haven't always done this, despite knowing deep in my bones that if I did, things would work better for me. I've gotten pulled into the hustle of my day and thought I simply didn't have time for this level of inquiry.
I've not always trusted my inner wisdom. I'd see what someone else was doing and think, "That's genius and it seems to work... hmmm," only to find it didn't work for me.
I'd fill up a laundry list of things I needed to do, with cute little checkboxes that kept me focused on a whole bunch of unnecessary stuff, all because I was anxious about making something happen.
I didn't know what to do that would make the most impact, so my mind would decide to do it all. "Busy-work" consumed me. I'd get so busy with all that doing and thinking about what I needed to do, that I'd miss what I truly needed to do.
But here's what I've learned: It doesn't take much time to get to your deepest insight when you know how to ask the right questions and listen for the most aligned answers. And if you're creating a mental checklist to get to something that your mind wants, you're most likely heading on the wrong path.
It's easy to get lost in the projects you create and never find your way to where you need to be. Over-doing can burn you out, especially when you get nowhere with it.
It's easy to give up when you get lost and confused because you have no way of recognizing what needs your attention for the greatest impact. It's frustrating to feel like you're always bumping up against a new wall.
So how about having more grounded, focused intuitive conversations that will get you the insight you need?
I realized a while back that I didn't need to treat my intuition with a "mystical mindset." It was simply my inner wisdom and it needed to be put to use for the most mundane questions I had... as well as the most spiritual.
So I set off to use my intuitive mind in the most grounded, practical ways. I found that when I asked clear questions, I got clear direction. And when I stopped handing over my power to other people's ideas and truly trusted my inner guidance enough to act on it, amazing things happened.
Over the past few months, this awareness has been reinforced in a big way by doubling-down on my practice of inner listening as I've been teaching this in a new way.
I've had the privilege of working with a friend, helping her learn how to listen to her inner wisdom to explore her own path. (She was actually the inspiration for my inSight program!)
I wanted to explore a new way of teaching this "intuitive conversation" as a process of moving ahead in aligned ways and working through the stuff that gets in the way. So, I taught my friend Daphne Cohn how to go within and get her own answers, to trust her intuition, and deepen her knowing.
For several weeks we jumped on a weekly phone call and I asked her questions to help her find clarity around what she needed.
She learned "the how" of asking her inner wisdom (and the universe) for what she needed to understand. She learned "the how" of listening in a way so she GOT her answers.
When she stumbled, I'd help her find her way through. When she felt awkward and hesitant, which she did at first, I'd gently guide her into her certainty and confidence.
After a few weeks, it was so cool to see that she was getting so good at finding her way into her wisdom. It was easier each week for her to get to a sense of clarity; the messages were coming in faster and clearer.
These calls started out being a way to figure out her plan for the week, the next steps in her business.
Then something even more magical happened.
Not only did she figure out what was most aligned for her to focus on each week, but she also figured out what to do with her life. She found her purpose... what was true at her core.
She created the space to hold this intuitive conversation that is now moving her forward - in very purposeful ways - through a process she trusts.
And here's why I share this all with you: You can learn this too.
Join me for the InSight program.
This fall I’ll be taking 3 (very) small groups of women through the inSight program. It's only open to 10 women, with about 8 spots left.
And since this is the "beta" run of this, I'm offering it at 50% off!
There are 3 times slots available with limited space in each group. And, it's all online.
I hope you'll join me for the program.
You know, most of us don't carve out the time to hold these clear intuitive conversations. We forge ahead with our heads. But when we do stop, ask, and listen, amazing things happen.
Over to you.
